Best Golf Balls for Beginners
Best Golf Balls For Beginners
The best golf balls for beginners looking to get the most out of their golf game, as well as keep their costs down would be used golf balls. Used golf balls?! You may ask? Here are a couple of reasons why we believe beginner golfers should begin with used golf balls to get the best experience out of their game. I know advertisers will tell you that “Pro – V1’s” are good for everyone, and they are, but is it even necessary? Beginners are looking to have some fun, hopefully hit a few golf shots straight, and not break any windows on the houses lining the fairways. As easy as that may sound, we all know that it is highly unlikely.
First Reason we think beginners should begin with used, when looking for the best golf ball this 2016, would be the obvious cost and savings over their new golf career. New golf balls, by the leading golf ball manufacturers like Titleist, Callaway, Nike, Taylor-Made, Vice-Golf, Srixon and others, can be very costly as you are starting out, due to how many lost balls, misses right and left you they will have. We know stories of many golfers losing more than a full box of 12 golf balls in a single round!!! With a box of new Pro-Vs that is $50 down the drain and that is just for golf balls not even for the Green Fees, Golf Equipment, Cigars, Alcohol and whatever else you use to enjoy your stroll through the course.
The Second reason that the best golf balls for beginners are used golf balls would be that beginners would not be able to even tell the difference. The Average golfer does not break 90 when following the rules properly, which means that they are not mechanically sound enough to know the feel difference between high end golf balls and used or refurbished. The beginner has not developed the skill set to put spin on shots when needed, or to shape their shots off the tee. Their goal is to hit the ball semi straight. They would be better off saving their money on golf balls and investing in golf lessons, which would then improve their golf game and keep them from losing as many golf balls, which would keep their costs down…you get the point!
The Third and final reason the best golf balls for beginners are used or refurbished golf balls would be that no one would be able to tell who hit their house or car, when you they pull the drive 50 yards over the OB fences. Just carry a extra golf box in your bag and if someone asks, say you were playing new golf balls and that it couldn’t be yours! Were just kidding, we do not condone dishonesty in any way on the golf course. Whatever golf ball beginners decide, make sure to have fun and hit them straight!
